Rescue – Polo, Colorado

923113_824614870898414_846749854_nPolo was imported and his owners had to move due to a relocation for work.  He was rehomed though Craigslist but sadly he was too much for the second home.  Polo was dropped at a high kill shelter in Phoenix, Arizona where Czechoslovakian Vlcak Rescue stepped up and was able to get him transported to a smaller shelter (where the CSVCA vice president works) where he has been treated very well and evaluated.

Marcy (VP) says he seems to be in very good health and is a nice guy, even bonds quickly with his humans.  Currently he has some issues with other dogs but this could be due to “barrier frustration” and is currently being worked on.

(more to come on training etc.)

(Please note:  vlcaks can be very high in energy, stamina, and intelligence, they typically do not make good couch potatoes!).

It is unsure how he is around children but at this time it is not recommended since he can be a little pushy when treats are involved.  He has not reacted towards cats in the limited settings he’s been in with them.
